Ya getting pumped. After that Stone sheep hunt I'm thinking of headed back into this spot in oct again. My partner took a good 12.5 year old ram a few years back and there were some crankers with him. Some of my other pics are to big of file to put on here. I will have to figure out a way to make them work.

a little more than 3 weeks till we will be headed in to our camp going to get a jump on the scouting. and spend the first week of the season with 2 of my favorite hunting partners. Mrs. Huntin and Little Huntin. I will be packing a tag again but it would have to be one hell of a ram for me to shoot. the other to have first dibs.

good luck to all of you who drew a tag and are going out into the mountains. I watched a show on wild tv the other day on sheep hunting. It was "The Edge" and the camera work was incredible and the scenery breathtaking. Only thing that upset me was I can't find the 2nd show of this 2 part (at least) episode. When we left the first show one hunting party didn't make it back to camp in the evening. Host is hopeing their not dead.

sheep season
Its that time again, quickly approaching. Got 10 days booked off for season opener but not sure where yet. Might just wing it and go into a new area all together. Just being in sheep country you have a chance. Good luck to everyone and safe travels.

I'll be heading out as a pack mule this year, as I was lucky enough to get a ram last year. Hopefully I'll be packing out a nice one for my hunting partner! He's been at it for a long time and hasn't had a big one in his sights, so he's due. Just being out in the mountains can't come soon enough for me!

How smart is it for a guy to do it alone? I have lots of experience with remote camping and mountain hiking. But I only went out with a sheep tag once. We found a band of rams with 3 legal ones but that night one crazy storm blew in and it snowed a good 12" overnight. We packed and left that day... It was smart, didn't stop snowing for 5 days.... But I REALLY want to get out again. I don't have a partner anymore though, lets just say hunting isn't fun when everything is a race and competition... No enjoying moment with him...
So I am looking at doing a few expeditions solo, kakwa area and willmore.... Is this smart? Anyone want to blindfold me and take me along? I can pack lots of weight and hike really far... Hahaha...
Nice rams everyone... Nube you sure got a ram of every style. Loopy, wide, tight, heavy... Are they all from the same general area?

Dad and I are heading out for our first sheep hunt this year. Found an area this weekend, after a few scouting trips, that had 30 ewes and lambs. Hopefully there are some rams in that area. Dad is 62 and I would love to see him get a chance at a ram!!

Please tell me it isn't true? You got a tag that any sheephunter would die for and work is getting in the way? I got a lot of words going through my head right now and I am biting my toungue.
Alta deer, no they are from a few areas. It is interesting the different loops on them and horn structure.

Heading out 14-15-16 to scout and pack a few things in. Hunting sept 1-13th. Can't wait! I'd show some prescouting pics but they would prolly give my area away.
Taking my old man with us this year. He's lost 30lbs in the hopes he can keep up. I think he will make it to our high mnt base camp and be taking a few days rest though. Good thing base camp is a solid sheep hunting spot also.

It is a total waste of a lifetime dream for someone!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish F and W could tell someone to buy their tag by Aug 1 and if not then the tag goes to the next guy drawn. I don't know any work that you could not get a week or 2 off work. Heck tell them you are using next years holidays or take a leave for a couple weeks without pay. Lots of ways to make it work. Ticks me off....... biting my tongues again now
