What an interesting fairy tale. " Canada has a large Ukranian population as an entire division of Ukranian Nazi-SS men settled there"????
I must have missed the day they talked about that in Canadian History class at school.

Those stupid Ukrainian jokes are coming back to annoy everybody.

That's the best one I've heard in years.

All those Ukrainian SS are dead by now - there is some truth there that we didn't talk about openly.

The undocumented photos in that ^ article are from a Highway Of Heroes funeral in Ontario a few years ago.

With all the blatant lies, half truths, and misinformation (eg. 'President' Trudeau) in that article, who exactly do they expect to believe it?! Their target audience must be old, senile shut-ins.

That's the irony, so much fake news out there, tough for a lot of people to differentiate. Blame our education system.

THIS! Except I think the blame lies as much with those who dont put enough effort into their education when they are in school (as well as after).

The history is there if you have the critical thinking skills to wade through it. The SS Ukrainian problem didn't exactly die out with the passing of the generation.

Pierre Trudeau managed to dance around it and said his government did not pursue war criminals "because they were afraid of exacerbating relationships between Jews and Eastern European ethnic communities." Those Eastern Euro ethnic communities didn't exactly have a lot of political power in his day.

The last guy got political support from the vocal right wing oligarch connected Ukrainian Canadians with his tough guy talk - and - he also danced the dance with the not so popular and almost fascist right wing Israeli government of the day.

The current guy just takes his orders from the new ruling elite and he just dances through it all with photo ops and a big smile while he tells everybody that we should all love one another and everything will be good.

Meanwhile, no matter where you look around the world, there are many flash points that could trigger the big one.

Although technically I think the Third World War is already on - many people and governments are still fighting the Second World War.

Nope. Most of those drawn to the "fake news" graduated well before the internet was even conceived. My guess is that the majority of those that seek out and pass this silliness on are grumpy old conspiracy theorists that never set foot on a graduation stage.

Fake news?
What is wrong with watching or reading real news?
