Default Snow plow winch help?

I have a snow plow mounted to a 75 International I just bought. But the gears in the winch that lifts the snow plow are shot. I found replacements online for 350 dollars. But are there any cheaper options? Canadian tire has mini winches I wonder if I could make them work? Any experience?

not sure how that winch set up works but I'd be tempted to just replace it with one of those 3500 lb winches from CT, Princess Auto or Costco that are like $135.00.

They dont work. They do not have a brake and the plow will slip down. Plow winches are specific just as a tv winches are specifically built.
