Default Falcon X Heavy Rocket Landing

I can't believe I lived long enough to see this. Something out of a Star Wars movie.

A couple of bystander clips:

And the complete launch / recovery (12 min)

Pretty amazing when you consider everything.

Pretty freaking cool, still some work to do though as the center core failed to land. If they are going to meet their goals of sending a cargo mission to mars in 2022 and then a human mission in 2024 they still have a number of bugs to work out.

Crazy to think that there could very well be a colony on mars not only within my life time but in the next couple decades.

I’m not a fan of Tesla but no one can say Elon Musk is not an innovator and a visionary

As of yesterday Musk stands out as the only CEO I've ever heard use the phrase "tripping balls" live in a major press conference

I got to watch the last space shuttle take off. Amazing noise and light.

Fun fact. The sound from a rocket launch would kill you if you stood within a few hundred feet. You can feel the sound in your chest.
