I'd leave mine at home and take somebody I like. Lol. I think there's lots to do. Never been to the Dominican but in Cuba there was different tours and outings like swimming with dolphins, town tours and that kind of stuff.

Fishing....whether she likes it or not.
Relationships are give and take, do the fishing one day.
Next day do something with her.
I dunno, women like clothes......take her to a swimsuit show or something.

Couples fishing trip followed by couples spa day.
Or, take the resort diving course and see fish in their habitat.

"Outback Tours" is a nice way to see the countryside. Visit a school, a small farm, go to a private beach , walk in the jungle, see all kinds of plants: orchids, banana palms, tobacco plants, sugar cane etc. and termite nests up in the trees. It's guided, and you ride in the back of a big honking Mercedes truck!
You can purchase: local art, spices, coffee, chocolate, vanilla extract (pure!), and sample all kinds of fruits.

I have always wondered about the tour with the school. Can it be real ? They must have a couple hundred thousand go through each year.

I also did this adventure, was one of my favorite days there.
A pic of the ride:
The private beach was cool - boogy boarding or something, the lunch was great and the farms were all very interesting. This fellow was wondering the road outside a cocoa farm up a mountain.
And not too many wanted to be on the bus with me after this, but I couldn't resist:
We also did a 1/2 day of fishing, the wife came for the ride. No fish, but did encounter a pod of whales. We did the "Carribean Cruise" which was really a party on a boat, swam with the stingrays and sharks (nurse sharks), snorkled on a reef not far from shore, and of course, a round of golf...which the wife came along for the ride again.
Also, if you go to a massage place, and have no idea about massages like someone like myself, and you think the Shiatsu massage seems nice, well, I believe it translate to "bend you like a pretzel and otherwise beat the snot out of you until you're crying like a little girl". The couples massage was nice though.
Have fun. I honestly can't imagine many nicer places to be.
Cheers
