Does anyone on here have any experience with the Kioti brand? I've been meaning to stop and look at them but haven't gotten around to it. First hand experiences would be nice to hear.

Default Compact Tractor

Mine is a 45 hp Montana ( LG ) front wheel assist. Bought it new 8 years ago and absolutely love it. Bought most of the attachments at farm sales ( blade, 6ft rototiller, cultivator, rough cut mower and a disk) No problems with the tough little bugger and she will start at -20 not plugged in. Difference between it and another green brand was about $8500.00 so that buys alot of attachments. The thing will mow at full RPMs for 8 hours on a 35 L tank of fuel.

Montanas are owned by LG, makers of TV's. Well built and had the Mitsubishi motor if i remember correctly. They had occasional problems with the shuttle shift which was expensive to fix if you had a cab because it had to be removed to get at the transmission. There was a dealer in Lacombe but I think he packed it in. I also had a GC2410 Massey with the backhoe but the hydrostatic controls were poor, you could drive up to a pile of dirt and unless you were full reving you couldn't do much, and then it couldn't find neutral and would creep either forwards or backwards. Thats why i would stay with JD or Kubota and possibly Mahindra.

Don't have first hand experience, but a buddy has one, likes it. If you want to research, go hang around tractor by net forum. Those guys are big into the smaller equipment.

I bought an older 80 hp Case David Brown with front wheel assist with a front end loader. Works good.

Pushes snow, hauls wood & pipe, moves hay, and anything else I can think of.

As for HBReefer's toy.... I get to run the neighbors now and again when they need it. Moves lots of snow in a hurry.

One of our members Dad runs this bad boy! Awesome machine. Being in the fallout zone would be all kinds of bad!

Default Baby Tractor

My baby tractor is a B7610 Kubota, with a 7 ' FE Angle blade and chains. I found it much better than the blade on the quad, much better than the FEL bucket, and with chains, does quite a job. In the yard, it is handier than our Steiger

I have a 2008 Kioti CK30 HST, I bought it used with 465hrs, came with a Bobcat 3pt angle blade, 65" 3pt tiller and FEL , paid $13k.

since then I also run a 6ft finishing mower and a 3pt post hole digger, actually used it to put in my permanent shooting bench using old telephone poles..

It has been a great tractor , no problems so far other than regular maintenance, parts cross over to the Bobcat line of tractors, they are identical tractor (made by Daedong) just painted white.

One other investment that has been a godsend is a toothbar for the FEL, unbelievable what a difference it makes!

Like the OP said, search around Tractorbynet.com ,tons of great info.

My toy tractor is embarrassed to be seen in this company, she's getting on in years, and feels totally outclassed by the shiny new rigs you guys have.

But she does the job when needed.

I don't have a photo of her so I borrowed one, thanks google.

Default 3 point equip..

I want the small back hoe for mine but the wife says NO, I tell her it would be awesome for burying the dead cats. She informs me that the cats are not dead... I remind her that is only for lack of a backhoe that they are still alive.. LOL just kidding cat lovers

This spring I went to the JD dealer here in Westlock.
Got a price on one with front bucket, mower , tiller & snow blower.

The next week I went to RME across the HWY.
He said he could do much better...... ones size bigger, plus a backhoe (set up with normal controls) and blade (and all the other attachments as above).....for the same price of the JD.
Much better deal !

Nice Ken! Who (besides Reeves) would have thunk you could mount that on a Pinto!

That’s a nice unit! What size is it? I see a lot of people lately going with pretty much anything but JD and getting a full package with implements for the same price or better than the JD.

Kubota is nice, but I would bet dimes to dollars that in 10 years I can sell my JD for multiples of what the Kubota will bring. That green paint really holds the value in!

Hey Ken

What's that loader? I picked up a Kubota R410B to go with the Kubota tractor. BTW - you may not want to take the bet against Kubota's. They hold up their value pretty darned well too. If they didn't I'd be into a newer one by now. Love them. I realise it's a ford/dodge/chevy thing but I find the JD's have some issues the green paint doesn't fix, and that JD doesn't like to talk about (specifically their forward mount blowers). Either way, it's awesome to have the work ability of these tractors and loaders.

It's a 96 Case 621b.
That's interesting about the snow blowers, I have been thinking about mounting 1 to my 2032r. Mebbe not.
I just bought a little Kabota 1870 and a JD 167 that came with a like new pulley driven snowblower, if I could mount it to the Kubota it would be great.
