The first two players from our team chosen for the first two games somewhat deserved them, they weren't the top players but they played hard and had their best games of the year. The third player had probably their worst game of the year but was chosen for the reward. Our top p,ayers did not win one at all.
After the game my player was a wreck as he just watched his teammate sit on the ice, hardly try to skate and keep up with the play, and generally have a very poor game win the "player of the game"!!! As selected by the opposing team.
When did this type of thing start. I agree with motivating all players but this one went a little far. It demotivates the players who try hard when they see this type of thing happen. What are other people observations with this?

Player of the game will always be different.
THE COUCHING STAFF from both teams should be involved, then the staff running the tournament.
The true winners are the players and the officials that are on the ice.
If we can separate bias the game will grow.
I just watched a midget triple A game then went to the second sheet to watch tim bits?
If you can keep the fun and combine it with learning, and learning being all aspects of life all would be good.
