Default Went shopping at the local farmer's market and found this...

Found in the pond right next door. It's mating season now and they move around, but this pond was not that big.

I got out of the car to take the picture, and he decided to swim towards me. A bit unnerving, as he was about 7' long.

Now we want pictures of you putting some tape on its snout. Preferably in cargo shorts and a full brimmed hat.

Well I can do two outta three really quickly... Its my normal outdoor wear during the winter . I'm afraid though I don't have any duct tape.

Electrical tape is an acceptable substitute. Much cheaper to.

We don't have alligators here in Bodo, but I got this pic of a croc in my slough yesterday.

Uh Redfrog, have you thought of maybe running a drag line through that slough a few times?

You never know who might pop up.

That is one big mother of a lake. I sailed across it last month, and in the middle there are parts where you can't see land. Shallow though, averaging 14 feet.

Now why does that remind me of the guy who thought he was friends with grizzlies, and then got killed by them up in Alaska?

you didn't watch the documentary I take it.

grizzly man was a nutter thinking he was with one with grizzlies,, the croc guy nursed the young croc back to health.. just watch the documentary,, it's really about respect and understanding of nature,,, whereas the Treadwell (shoulda considered the meaning of his surname, great irony), was a showman, caught up in spectacle and fame.

Thanks Steve. If you hadn't posted that for me, I would have never seen it. And I mean that.

When I was on the Fisheries Roundtable committee I asked the director responsible for all stocking in the province that exact question. His reply was, "we don't want to introduce another new species in the province, we can not manage the ones we have". He was not interested in even considering the proposal, that was a few years back though.

Maybe we could immigration involved and only accept refugee bass from places with no catch and release regs.

Yep that's a classic Frank Lake hammer handle.
