Default Halloween Props

Wonder if many AO folks participate in Halloween in a big way? Like decorating the yard and such? Or making flying witch drones?

We should have an AO pumpkin carving competition?

One of these for the porch would be fun.

Or a witch drone.

When I was a kid in the 1980's my Dad would set up some speakers hidden in the bushes and trees on both side of our front door. He's a musician so he also brought up a synthesizer, microphone and some guitar effects pedals. By running the mic through the 'Flanger' guitar effect pedal it was easy to make a very ominous sounding voice, somewhat like Darth Vader but easily adjustable. The synth could conjure up some wind noises among its settings. The mic was set up in a side room with the window open but the lights out so that the announcer could see & hear who the audience was but they couldn't. Sometimes Dad or one of the rest of us would speak as the house itself, or whatever improv came to mind. It was pretty cool for the 80's, and very unique at the time.

We do a projection on our front windows so it looks like zombies are scratching at the glass from the inside.

It makes some kids not even come up the driveway....

Thinking of buying some zombie 3D targets for halloween - and then target practice later.

All year long you tell your kids to not take candy from strangers then you send them out on Halloween to get candy from strangers. Just does not sound correct nowadays.

A few years back, one of my neighbours took the chain off his chainsaw and then dressed up like the chainsaw massacre guy. He'd fire it up and come running around the corner of the house when kids came to the door. Scared the hell out of a lot of kids. As you can imagine, there were plenty of upset parents who asked that he not do that again. Many others thought it was a hoot.
