Archers with arm/hand amputations
Anyone on the forum shooting a compound bow with an arm amputation? Would like to see some set ups and maybe help a friend get set up. His let hand is missing and if he could somehow hold the bow that would be awesome.

Check out Tim farmer on YouTube. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KRVtPHpVJHY. His set up https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6ooYL3bxxBI.
Might find something useful from be adaptive equipment https://www.beadaptive.com/index.html.
Has he looked into crossbows at all?

Look up Kevin Evans, I think he's in cranbrook. He helped a young girl from our Alberta winter games team who was born with only one hand. She took gold after shooting for less than two years.

I have personally met Kevin when I was living in Cranbrook. he is an awesome guy and really knows his stuff, he fixed me up when no else could get it right. even taught me a few pointers which helped a ton. he has nice shop as well its called Kootenay archery. he is on the Canada Paralympic team and was headed to RIo when i was there. he makes the device himself that he uses to shoot, hes missing his arm and makes others for other competitors.

He has looked into crossbows but, they are very hard to load, they have very stiff triggers so they are usually not as accurate as we hoped, and they are awkward to carry in the bush.

Hey, I went into this hunting season with a broken left wrist. I set up a left handed bow at 43lbs with a mouth tab tied onto a d loop, John Dudley discusses this technique on YouTube and there are a couple other videos. This is one of the more common ways to shoot for para archers I believe, if you have any specific questions let me know and I’ll help in any way possible. It’s very doable.
