Default Quiet daypacks

This year I carried a 5.11 backpack that was great but rather loud when I walked through the forest and brushed against branches. Any suggestions for a good daypack that has a quiet finish?

Default Day Pack

Have a look at the Alpz line. Can be purchased directly from Amazon.
Alpz has excellent service. I needed to extend the waist band to accommodate my down filled coat. They are shipping an extra buckles and webbing, free of charge.

You could make a pack cover out of fleece with a camo pattern on it. Would be less expensive than a new pack.

Dan. I bought anew alps pack this fall. Had it around the horn of the saddle and the horse lunged across a creek and the strap ripped almost off.

Is this noise thing really a problem?

I wonder if I know the horse? Thanks Dale.

There was a Badlands 2200 (retails for $350) pack on Amazon last night that was listed from some unknown cyber-retailer for $55. I took the shot and did a little dance around the house thinking I was such a smart guy. About an hour later I got an email from Amazon saying my order was cancelled because the retailer mispriced the item. The treasure hunter in me will never learn. Too good to be true.

I was looking at those MR pop ups. How were they for a day pack? You said you love yours so that's a good sign. Were you able to pack out an animal with it or use the extendable frame (or however you want to define it, "pop up" frame) at all? Maybe even for a dry bag or something? My only concern with the bag was the durability/strength of the frame once "popped up".

Of course this feature is what makes the bag super cool!

I've used my current pack for a while but never in dense cover. I found myself on late season hunts this year chasing elk into the thick timber and I was making "zipping and scratching" noises all the way to nowhere in getting on the elk. I bumped two whitetails in the process. And otherwise I go real slow and work hard not make a sound when I'm still hunting. As long as the snow isn't like walking on cornflakes of course.

It's not a huge problem. Just a little thing trying to improve on it.

After losing my pack in a fire (Eberlestock) i purchased 2 new ones , Osprey. My large one is great but my smaller day pack steaks in the harness system someplace. Its lighter sure but i really miss my Eberlestock.

I will definitely go back to eberlestock again on my next purchase.
