Default RCMP MP centenial

Is there much demand out there for this gun if mint/unfired?

You've not noted a manufacturer or model, but its likely a Winchester. Generally the collectors want the boxes as well, so if you have that you're a step ahead. Winchester made so many various collectors models they're not particularly rare, my 2 cents is to take it out shooting and enjoy the thing.

It is a winchester this gun was only originally sold to members of the RCMP not the public

These were brought out around 1973, I believe.

While involved with the force I received the 30-30 rifle, mounted police print set, and buffalo head plaque.

I think market value is in the area of 5-6 hundred.

Most of the comemoratives arn't worth a whole bunch but I think the "MP" of the RCMP comms. is worth a bit more. The "MP" was only available to members especially if it has with everything with it. I wouldn't be surprised to see 1000.00 for it.

Now all of the rest of the commemeratives that are kicking around....shooters in my opinion. There were so many and but some ppl still think they are worth a bunch.
