Default Anyone collect wooden duck decoy's?

Pick this up today, Lady said the carver was Ralph Malpage from London Ontario. She picked it up when she lived there, Looking him up on the internet he passed on in 2017. The duck has glass eyes! and in nice shape! Any info would be great! Thanks!

Default Dont know carver

I still carve for competition but the things that stand out to me on this decoy is anatomy errors. Eye placement on left side is too far back. Side pocket comes up on top of back whereas this one the wing, speculum (blue) appear to be carved out (recessed). Decoys originated as duck lures and were only required to be accurate enough to fool a duck at a distance. If you enjoy it then it was a good purchase.

This is what I'm looking for! For the carver that is knowledgeable in this sense! Thanks for that!
