Ummm wouldn't that mean you'll be walking into a tree when you walk out the front door? You'd probably want the door set back 6-8' from the tree. For sure the ridge (20+' long) will sag a bit in the middle. Might be lots of tree roots on the floor of the tent.

Not sure I'd be into that

Yes I do this when two trees are in the right spot with a flat space underneath .If not you can also use one tree on the treeline and one tripod,with a ridgepole.

You need the right spot for the setup,I know of several where I hang my tent.
