I have 2 buddy's that have 28 noslers, I have nothing against them whatsoever but to me there is no real advantage over my 7mmPRC, recoil is noticeably more in the same rifle, all are CA mesa long range rifles, yes they have about 7% more muzzle velocity with a 175 gr bullet but they burn 25% more powder to get that 67gr for my PRC and 84gr for the nosler.
Out at 1,000 yards the retained energy of both is almost identical within 50 foot pounds, the trajectory on the nosler is 10% flatter but that's just a few more clicks on my scope, and at the end of the day barrel life on my PRC will be substantially longer than on the 28 nosler which means nothing unless you do a pile of long range stuff.
I can also buy factory ammo for 50% less than the 28 nosler, to each their own that's part of the fun of playing with new cartridges.
