At this rate, it may take them a couple of days to count the votes. And maybe some mail in votes will show up in a couple of days, and change the results.

Default Crow Season

I wonder if there has ever been any thought to having a Crow Season in Alberta? I know they have Crow Season's in parts of the US. There's no crow like a dead crow!

Not going to bet either way. If I put my real thoughts on here I would likely get banned. Hopefully blue but going by the signs not too sure.

Maybe now that the right party won, you’ll have more money in your pocket to take on a few more bets next time.

He made out like a boss on the Trump-Biden affair, if I recall correctly, so he can afford it

He should have saved some of that knowing he was going to have to bet again when his girlfriend was going for the top spot in Alberta.

Yup!
Lost that one… but boy! Did team Dani get a spankering in Calgary.
But really… pretty tough to lose when oil is doing much better.
11 seat majority…!

Interesting times ahead.

Gues Notley wasent hotly enough…. Which baffles me..

High Plains new guy…. Is that a threat or tone deaf humour?

I’m just glad Alberta is still blue. A slim majority shows her she has serious bridge building to do, but she still has enough of a majority to have a mandate to stand up to Ottawa’s intended destruction of Alberta. There’s a rough road ahead I think based on Dani’s speech. Screw the feds.

Too late to get in on this? I don't drink but I'm sure there's some haunted soul out there that would appreciate a bottle of that swill.

Last time is was there (2015 to get my deer mounts out) the Russians that bought our land wound up pretty much clear cutting it…. So… not much to miss there now.

Those guys were asshats.

The UCP will likely put a lot more emphasis on Calgary, where they can win back what they lost, Edmonton is pretty much a lost cause, so no point wasting the effort/money there.

Deer pops down big time with the cougar numbers way up. Family of 4 set up north of the creek in the hills and one of 3 just over the creek. Should have taken that big tom 2 years ago I guess.

38% figure the candidates all suck that is the problem with voter turnout out in all Canadian elections. With the lack of accountability in politics they all BS and are corrupt. If you are a person who is seeing both parties as a loss voting doesn’t really seem worth the effort

I personally didn’t vote in the past either and know many others who didn’t either. It wasn’t till the NDP/liberals took a direction that has major impact on my personal life that I became a reliable voter. In the last 10years I have seen others become more active because of how extreme politics has become.

There is still those who can’t plug their nose to vote because of the options and have no trust for any of our politicians. Honestly I don’t blame them because provincial/Canadian politics is really that bad

I am seeing more people who are going to vote because the extreme policies that are becoming common in politics are having a negative impact on their personal lives

So basically it’s hard to get out and vote when you are basically trying to decide if you are going to get kicked in the left or right nut. The average Canadian just wants to live life and be left alone

Interesting in both Calgary and Edmonton majority voted for NDP. I guess City people liked Notley better than Danielle.

Most of new Immigrants and provincial migrants, likely voted NDP. Government employees, Millennials. Old timers likely conservative. Influx of new people is affecting demographics and values which make Alberta attractive. What makes Alberta attractive is its low tax policy. Then new migrants vote against that policy which made Alberta attractive (low tax, less government hurdles, respectable real estate prices, best health system in Canada despite its flaws, young work force).

Most government employees ,union members, and immigrants live in the large cities and that is who tends to vote for left wing parties.

Go down around 115st and 107 Ave and you will see a ton of NDP supporters just hanging out doing what they do best.
