That probably is what your brain looks like after the last week, no? Kinda wrinkled, grey, porous....? Glad you made it home alive!

If it's not too personal of a question...

Sorry... couldn't resist.

Got back in country late yesterday afternoon my friend. The 3 hour drive home was not super easy… as we’d been traveling for 17 or so hours and the flight was heavily loaded with unhappy babies ( note to self.. sound canceling headphones… must get!). Lots of mental processing now… as I love seeing other societies/communities and really try and see how they tick.

Today was my pups birthday… she was so excited to see us all.. and I really needed some time in the bush.. so off we went. I’ve got a few set reliable spots to check and one of the better ones was a bingo! And it looks like it’s just the start of our golden season here so I should’ve able to get 3-4 good feeds… which is all I really want.
Morels, cooked with 7-8 wild onions… over a rare elk steak… an I’m a fairly happy human.

Oh.. ‘Down South’ is south of Lethbridge. Not gon give you the exacts… as it’s morels an ‘go find yer own patch sonny!’

It’s not surprising at all.

Lots of guys haven’t shot a bull elk either.

Both have certain spots… and they’re not always in them spots.
