Default Browning BAR MKIII SA 30-06

I thought I would ask your guys opinion about this rifle. A friend of mine wants to buy it and asked me what do I think about it and I have absolutely no knowledge about this gun.
Any info is appreciated.

I had a Bar Safari Grade in 30-06 eons ago. Finicky gun for sure. Accuracy can be really hit and miss.

My cousin owns one in .308. It’s ok for hunting. A little heavy (or feels so), even with a light scope. I shot an elk with it. My friend in Ontario owns one in .30-06. Says he like it. It’s his only gun. That’s all I can say, haha. Personally, I’d buy something else.

My experience exactly. I never owned one that was a great shooter. And heavy to my liking

Cons: Heavy. Harder to clean properly. Fewer gunsmiths capable of fixing them. Not to mention kinda difficult to boresight.

Pros:

Good for spraying bullets if one requires that tho.

I owned one in 300 mag with the adjustable muzzle brake, easy to dial in to any of the factory ammo I tried in it. I killed a lot of game, standing or running didn't matter the BAR did the trick. The only issues I ever had was it hated Winchester ammunition [sticky brass] and when too close to a tree or the truck sometimes the hot ejected brass would try to go down your shirt.
