Default 6.5 Creed Debate ends here and now

I think this video ends the debate once and for all. Experts like these have settled the debate.

That being said I do like me some 6.5 cartridges

Nothing wrong with the cartridge, great deer/antelope round.I prefer a little more energy for elk and moose though. You have to be ethical and realize the limitations of a cartridge no matter how good a shot you THINK you are.

Some people just like excuses for their poor performances generally.

Better off with a 270 .
Every video made can be shifted to what ever they want you to buy .
But if you like bud light and a man bun go for it .
Just don't ask your partner to gut your deer for you because you don't want to get your hands dirty

I finally jumped on the 6.5 band wagon.
Traded my brother in law for his Mauser 98 in 264 win.
We swap end of June. Gonna see what the hype is about.
The 6.5 creedmore is a bud light rainbow inclusive kind of cartridge

If you are looking for some magical thi g to happen, don't hold your breath.
After buildung, hunting and competing with ipwards to ten dufferent .264 cartridges over the years, ypu will find they do nothing more than many 257's or 284's in the same case capacity .
They are however lots of fun.
The key is to find one in an action and stock profile you like.

Default Funniest Part

I forgot to mention one of the funniest parts of the story behind this video. My neighbor sent it to me when he first saw it. He said its because I wear Sitka gear and shoot lots of 6.5 Cartriges and never seem to shoot any deer!

We both had a good laugh, and well facts are facts. I am not a bad shooter but I am a **** poor hunter.

Oh don't worry Cat I know it's nothing more than a rifle like any other. But I got to trade it for a savage axis....
Almost as good of a deal as my new featherweight 300 for a 870

Default Unpopular Opinion

I don't know guys, I really enjoy my 6.5CM. Brass is available, I can shoot with SRP, I can take it out to 1200 yards, I can shoot almost whatever I want with it inside of 300 yards, and I can put 100 rounds through it in an afternoon without destroying my shoulder. I get the backlash, but my own personal experience says that this is a good caliber.

I have a serious problem with the 6.5 Creed....Everytime I shoot it at something it dies in less then 20 yards. Some people just cant shoot. it doesnt matter what you shoot just shoot well. Bullet construction is vastly more important. Im not saying its a magical cartridge but its certainly not a bad one. People love to hate. I promise you there is more people in Alberta shooting 300wins with their eyes closed as they slap the trigger wounding more animals then 6.5 shooters.

There is nothing bad about the 6.5CM.
My 11 year old was out shooting his new Tikka in that caliber on the weekend and loved it. It's an absolute tack driver.
It'll be great for his first deer and I'm sure, many other animals after that.

But when he grows up, I'll get him a real gun.

I shoot 308. Mmmmmaybe i would have chose 6.5 way back when. Probably not. I learned 308 with an fnc1, then m305, then 700police now savage 10tr. Lots of surplus rounds to cut teeth on. Still better variety available out there. I mostly kill pesky paper and match 308 is easy to find. Though it seems like a good one, 6.5 is a hunting round only, imo.
If you are capable, shoot what cartridge you believe in.
Full disclosure, i also shoot 9mm, not .40 and never ever a .45acp!

I almost bought a 6.5creedmore because the rifle was nice but I am worried I won’t be able to pull off the man bun and murse being chambered in 6.5 creedmore

I am still tempted but just don’t know if I could do it

Just shoot accurately, legally, and ethically. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 6mm ARC or a 338 wby RPM
