Should be worth a solid $5. I've kept my last few gonna do some tanning experiments. To bad I love their fur, they should be worth alot more.

Hahaha...$5 would probably be a top lot select now .I have a few friends that want good dark ones but this one doesn't fill the bill..yes the fur is beautiful and should be worth more ,definitely not worth the going price for the put up tho .

Fish creek park in Calgary would be a good place to trap coons. The number of tracks I see is worrying.

Default Use your fur!

At our last local trappers meeting, we had Sisson Furs fr Red Deer give us a demo, they can make anything you’d like out of your fur. Take a couple in and get them to make coon skin hats out of them, you know, the Davy Crockett hat? Not sure what you’d pay, they quoted me $100 to make one of those big Russian type hats, with my tanned coyote hide. They make beautiful teddy bears out of your tanned fox hides. And that stuff will sell, get some ideas from them on how to sell your stuff. And mention you’re a trapper and get a discount.

Default A couple ideas

Here’s a screenshot of what’s on Amazon. They also have some Davy Crockett hats, but they’re made out of rabbit.
