We used them on a hog hunt and I had trouble with penetration and the fat from the hogs sealed up the holes. I switched and shot a couple with a rage 2 blade and " they bled like a stuck pig"

Would work good on deer but would be hesitant on anything thick skinned or with alot of fat or hair like a bear or a moose.

Think I would ...
Figure out if there were spine or form issues with target heads first.
Paper tune, bearshaft check, walk back tune, group.
Shoot for a while.

Then I would try broadheads.

Just helps cut the varibles down before you get to BHs.

Might try out 2 blade rage.
I have experience with both. I wouldn't use toxics past 25 metres - as you say, they just don't group well. You can't go wrong with the 2 blade rages ... desvasting. Both have excellent blood trails.

I've shot 2 bears with toxic and 1 doe. Penetration was poor (1/3 to 1/2 the arrow on a nice boar and the doe (hit high from a treestand). The doe went 20 15 metres, the bear went 150 (both with excellent blood trails). The smaller bear I shot was a pass through and went 10 metres before rolling over .... blood everywere. In the end, 3 dead animals with the toxic broad heads.

I've hever been dissapointed with any shot with a rage 2 blade.

We sold a pile of toxic heads last year, by far the most negative response to a broadhead I have ever had, poor bloodtrails was the most often comment. They really drain the milk jugs in their ad but I wont carry their head this year.
When I mentioned this to them they suggested my customers were poor shots.

toxic broadheads are junk I bought a set last year before the season couldnt sight in worth a crap bought some G5 montecs and they shot great but bad penatration and little to no blood trail it was a good thing the only deer i shot with them was in the snow so fairly easy to track just bought some new ramcats and they shoot great and I have heard nothing but good reviews on the penatration and blood trail just waiting for the right bear to pop out so i can see how they work.

I will admit that blood trail on your elk last fall was pretty devastating! If I was to ever switch from a fixed broadhead Grim reapers would be a at the top from all the testing I have seen!!
