Default What is your preferred diameter for coyote snares

Just wondering what everyone's preferences when it comes to coyote snares?
7x7 or 1x19
Preferred diameter

I prefer 1X19 because it forms a better large round loop when loaded than 7X7. My preferred loop diameter is 14 inches, but less if the situation requires it, set 14-15 inches above the walking surface.

This ^^^^^. I found that the standard 10in , 8-10" above the ground had too many refusals as a result of the top loop hitting a coyote right across the eyes .

Default snare size

I set for the situation and the spot your setting snare could be smaller in a tight pinch point or made larger in a more open situation, but normal for me is 10" 12-14 off ground unless snaring low fence line then their lower, this is my experience and my opinion but it has served me well, hope that helps, P.S. prefer the 1x19 1/16 and 5/64 for heavy cover for me.

I meant to have the title " what is your preferred snare cable diameter" and
7x7 or 1x19 I just didn't specify well enough.

1/16 cable in 1x19 . The smaller diameter hides better than 5/64 and makes a rounder loop for me .

has anyone ran wire swivels vs the inline swivels. Any thoughts? Going to build some snares while I'm not mobile due to surgery.
