Default Wolf number 31

Second of the year. Number 31 all time. Looked out the window this afternoon and spotted a wolf trotting down river. It was abput a mile and a half up river. Gavhttp://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/attachment.php?attachmentid=152918&stc=1&d=1550195 444e me lots of time to get set up on the picnic table. Same distance as last one. 693 yards. No wind. Good rest. Easy shot.

Fine shooting again! Lots of punch left in your ammo to anchor them. Female this time ?

Yes another female. She was in rough shape. Missing a few teeth including a canine. One back leg had big bite on the joint and bite marks on her neck. Definitely not worth skinning. I have not missed a coyote or wolf at the 693 yard bait since I started using a 50 pound bag of oats for fromt rest. Far better then sand bags or bi-pod. Perfectly consistent follow through every time. 1.82” three shot groups at 700 yards. I video’d this one also. Just I-phone through spotting scope. Not sure how to put it to you tube or I would post the link. Hopefully some more show up one of these days. My buddy is havimg problems with elk in his hay stacks so I hung the wolf off his bale stack today. Hopefully that keeps the elk away for a bit.

Qtr MOA at 700 yards that’s sweet. Are you using a rear bag or just laying the gun lengthways on the bag of oats.

Nice, your saving lots of deer, moose and elk by thinning them out, and making some money at the same time, win win.

Quality gear, trigger time, & confidence makes good shooting. Good old humble bag of oats to the rescue! Great thread, thanks for sharing!
