Default Sitka gear

Looking for some feed back on Sitka gear use in the mountains on 4-10day hunts? Mainly early to mid season. Wondering what model of Sitka gear your using and bringing in with you? Dew point? Ascent? Kelvin? Cold front? Etc thanks in advance

Not sure which model I have but the products are great but I’m having trouble with my zipper on the jacket and can’t get in contact with the Canadian contact. I expect to have better service when you buy quality gear. Always goes right to voicemail and they haven’t returned any calls yet. My son has first lite and likes it. Furloh is doing a lot of advertising.

Default My first year using it

It is my first year using it and I am very impressed. It very light weight. I have the cold weather hoody and the traverse pants and the down Kelvin Jacket

Its great gear. I have found that its nice in temps as low as -15 c havent used in anything worse than that.s

Sitkas customer service has always been top notch
They make a lot of great products
You’ll have to go through their website and catalog to try and figure out what pieces you need or want
Kuiu is pretty good too
I wouldn’t buy first lite just because I don’t like rinella

It crinkles and crackles a bit. But its not to bad. If you didnt move around to much you would be ok or if you were in a blind this time of year it wouldnt be to bad.

For me its about the warmth and light weight. It comes with a bag in the pocket to convert it into a pillow.

First light if you like wool Sitka if you dont. They cost about the same I have both I find the first light is better under layers and the Sitka does better as over layers. I prefer the first light.

I have some of the gloves. Cost me a pretty penny and ill be honest they don't work as well as I'd like. They aren't warm enough for sitting but they feel too bulky and warm for walking. Personally I'd look at hunting outer layers and hit the good backpacking brands for the rest.
