Default A oner of , or an issue?

Fella posted a pic of a 12ga Mossberg Silver Reserve receiver, said he'd had a firing pin break while out, and then found this when he popped the barrels off. No idea how many rounds thru it, but, he says it is 12 yrs old. From Alberta.

Wow! That isn't shootable, nor fixable. Had to have been something wrong with the steel the receiver was made from.

Mossberg isn't really known as a high quality firearm.

Crap happens af times, remember the Sako barrel issues?
The 101 I saw with the cracked receiver was a Mirouku, same as the Brownings .

The Silver Reserves are known for broken firing pins and doubling, but I have never seen that happen.

The problem is Mossberg used recycled coors cans for their o/u . To be politically correct. I’m sorry to whom ever I have offended .

All firearm companies have issues that pop up the key is how they handle them once reported.

Nothing is perfect.

So do motor vehicle companies, but they seem a lot more common in this day and age, where cost cutting related to the corporate bottom line is the rule.
