Anyone try any of Tink's Smoking sticks for anything? Especially wondering about the elk ones?

I don't know about Elk, but a couple Deer hunters in Strath swear they work.

Not an elk story, but a buddy of mine had an absolute monster of a whitetail patterned perfectly. The day he went to hunt him, he thought he would light a whitetail scent stick to really leave no stone unturned. Well here comes the buck right on cue - gets downwind of the stick, stops, takes one whiff and took off never to be seen again. Lol.

I personally go as scent free as possible.

Tried them years ago, rattled in a buck, soon as he got a wiff of the sticks that I had set about 150 yds from where I was ratteling and watching he scrammed right back the way he came.

Elk sticks work good for bears.

Default My experience

I tried them twice ... no luck. Not sure if there were just no elk around or if the smoke pushed them away.

I repeated the process while deer hunting ... same effect.

I suspect that if they worked amazingly, they'd sell out and everyone would be using them

Northern.

Guess cow elk, in rut, urine might work as well.

Default Elk sticks

We use them regularly in conjunction with our Montana decoys and they seem to work very well! We have had both bulls and cows come in to within bow range!
Good luck, they just started calling!!!
