The ndp seem to be slipping in Quebec.
Which will give conservatives a chance to take a couple more seats.

Ontario is still sleeping as to why the ndp will destroy our nation.... I have been talking with a lot of people I know down there and they are determined to see Harper not get back in.

In their mind they don't care what the consequences are they want Harper out, which would be a repeat of the Alberta election. Look where it got us.
Yikes.

The Govenor General will need to grant the prorogue when the PM asks. If not, PM can ask the GG to dissolve parliament and trigger elections again. GG can decline that too and ask the opposition to form government and Trudeau or Mulcair become PM and work together.

Riots begin out west and the RCMP move in to remove now illegal firearms and so on, and so forth.

I think GG Johnstone will grant the prorogue though.
If the Lieberals make serious gains at the expence of the NDP and take back opposition status and JT kicks Angry Tom out of Stornaway I dont actually see them forming a coalition. After the last election when Layton swooned dissilusioned Bloc voters in Quebec the NDP tried to swallow up the Lieberal Party with a merger but the Lieberals rebuffed it with the mindset of "The Liberal Party has formed many Governments in Canada's history and is not a flash in the pan protest vote" and were insulted by the arrogance of the NDP IMO.

If the Conservatives manage a strong minority as in they need a few votes in the House from say the Bloc and the Lieberals are the opposition then the newly weakened NDP dont have a leg to stand on.Should the Lieberals take back opposition status I dont see them trying to form a coalition as it will result in another election and the Lieberals campaigne fund will be depleted.

Personally I am in total agreement with Harper in that the party that wins the most seats gets to form Government. When the Lieberals went from a Majority under Cretien to a Minority under Martin Harper did not try some sneaky back room deal to form a coalition and steal power.

Canada has never had a "coalition government" and it damn well never should have one.The party with the most seats wins and tries to work with the other parties.Coalition Governements are for drastically effed up countries like Israel and Greece not Canada.

Based on other polls I've seen, Lib and PC numbers could be reversed.

That kind of minority government, wtih NDP holding swing vote power will make for a lively parlaiment over the next few years, for sure.
