Entitlement or Lack of Respect or just plain Dumb ????

Had some trouble coming up with a title that would describe what I seen today!

Went to get a few groceries at the Scott’s No Frills in Sylvan, it was mid afternoon the parking lot wasn’t very fully so an easy in and out. As I was walking in a small car pulls up in the fire lane & puts on the 4 ways and parks just a few paces east of the entrance doors, the car is covered in snow including the windows, out jumps this young girl say early 20’s and walks into the store in front of me, grabs a basket and heads to the pharmacy/Med’s area. O.K. I say to myself, must be in a hurry she needs Advil or Woman’s paper products or something. I carry on and get the 10 items on my list and see her in the can food section buying Chef Boyardee & then in the junk food section fillin up her basket.

I shake my head and think what gives you the right to abandon your car in a no parking, fire zone and pick up junk food? On the way out I had to stop to have a look inside the car, it was still running, no baby seat in the back, so no excuse there. It looked like a garbage dump on the seat/floor, including more than one ½ smoked butts laying on the console; it was disgusting to say the least!

Wish I owned a tow truck! ... Entitlement or just plain dumb ?

She is likely a child of someone that thinks a little pot is ok, that driving under the posted speed limit causes accidents, that because 'they have done it a million times and never got caught it is ok', you know the type.

In the grocery store today, lineup for the self checkout. 5 tills, 3 people with cartloads of stuff, two more with handbaskets. One is on the phone, checking out about a piece a minute, one has his wife and 3 kids running for more stuff, and one has to go to the bank machine over on the wall, stop and talk to the attendant for a bit, about something she has in her hand, then uses her debit card when she gets back to the till.
People are oblivious to the rest of the world it seems.

Since we are older we can say entitled. When we were younger...forgot to get groceries earlier...woke up hung over...desperate to eat...we had an emergency.

Really...if there was a fire...the car would of been a paint flake on the front of a fire truck. Eventually she will get fined.

Lol have to agree with you there. In my earlier days when I used to smoke pot it went something like this: Park as far away from everyone as you can, walk towards the store, oh crap do I have my keys, walk back towards the car, oh wait there they are in my pocket. Walk back towards store, get to the door, crap my wallet is in the car. Walk back to the car and decide to just go home and watch a movie instead. Don't smoke anymore but still have have the same problem with my keys from time to time haha.

You just described 90% of the parents with kids that age in the country. In Sylvan the numbers are likely higher.

take a camera phone picture of the back end with the license plate and the snow and call 911 and ask for the local police phone line, the picture with an e-mail will suffice for a ticket and then take a picture phone with her groceries and the cops will like it and the local paper can make a story out of it

I to find this behaviour annoying but my guess would be the daughter of some anal consultant or oil field type that has never had to work a minute because daddy said " my kids will never work as hard as i do" and he can afford to support her and her friends and that is why she dont care and the cashier dont speak english
