Mainstream racism??
I am sitting here watching tv and I caught some stupid trailer for a movie called ride along. There is a line in trailer where a black actor is hollering at a white man... " You are white, you don't fight", or something along those lines.
This stuff usually doesn't bother me, but it seems to me that if it was a white man yelling at a black man, people would be up in arms.
Am I being overly sensitive, or is there a double standard here??

Nope anyone can make fun of a white man and its humour....but turn it around with a white guy cracking a joke its racism.
Funny how calling a guy white as a descriptor is ok....but call a fisherman Asian and you are racist...

Make a statement with your wallet. Don't go to the movie and don't support the production company actors or anyone else associated with the film.
That'll show em.
I guess I should go read the recent thread about celebs.
I think it was skiddermans.

Oh no worries about that. I am going to be a racist here, and say that I truly cannot stand black humor.
That whole " no she didn't" thing drives me bonkers. My wife says I am just a redneck.... And she is probably right.

This thread kind of brings up another topic...we have all heard of the gay pride parade and stuff like that...but how would the gay community feel if someone organized a straight pride parade...I don't think it would go over very well...now I'm all about doing what floats your boat but how big of an uproar would a straight parade cause...just my thoughts

It's only racism if it's white on black. White on black in the political climate in the US at the moment is apparently a hate crime. Not vice versa. See recent proclamations by the US DOJ in recent weeks about the knock out game.

That's kinda what got me thinking... It's been weighing on me lately. I don't like double standards.
Hell, I don't like gray areas either.
