Default Elk hunt around suffield base

Just wondering if anyone has been seeing any elk outside the base. We have been seeing just inside the base fence. Unfortunately nothing has been outside the fence. Not looking for anyone gunny hole but help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I have a cow tag and another forum member out here has a bull tag, thanks for the information. I think we might head that direction tomorrow as we have not seen a single elk outside the base.

Hey Ken, good luck out there, saw nothing outside the base until today, four bulls on the run back into the base. Big one was about 300ish, they are not crossing the river to the east and the hunting has been slow, but on the plus side, great people out there, beautiful landscapes and vast big country to see.

Hunting outside the base has been extremely slow. Saw our first Elk tonite, which was a bull elk,not good when you have a cow tag. Not an easy hunt, but great terrain and great people we meet.
Hoping to have one by December 20.
Good luck to all in this hunt, and enjoy the time spent out there.

Zubby
