Default Atwood RV furnace issue

Hey all,

Went out Thanksgiving weekend and finally needed heat the last night. Blower wouldn't start. Pulled the furnace out and checked all wires Etc...Hookked it back up and blower works now but will not ignite...Do I have to have the furnace hooked up to the outside vents to work properly...

Right now it is just sitting on the floor of my trailer. I would assume it should work in a ventilated area in the trailer...

Any ideas... Propane is working and flowing Etc..

Thanks eh.....

Call Mel at Silver Creek RV in Langdon. He does great work. He Might even solve your problem over the phone.

Might be like my furnace
Most furnaces ,you light the pilot then turn on the fan.
My RV furnace you turn on the fan then light the pilot.
If you don't it will not light up. Must be a safety issue .

Depending on the make/model of furnace, the blower motor doubles as the vent motor. The vent motor produces enough pressure to close what is called a sail switch in the vent, basically a sail that sticks into the airstream, that the blower pushes over, proving to the board that the vent is unobstructed, and closes the circuit to allow the igniter to operate. If you had it pulled apart it likely wouldn't be able to close the circuit, therefore no heat
