Oh that is fine..... I am sure you will be just as accepting of the Oiler's fans offerings if the Flames have a 1st round exit.

We need to recall Charlie Huddy and rebuild Kevin Lowe.

This one I've never understood. Early 80's I cheered for Edmonton the minute Calgary was out, usually by X-mas. Lol. They're Albertan & Canadian. Then Smith scores on himself in '86, and this ABC bull comes out. Anyone that really believes it poor sportsmanship.

Well, they're dead... Does anyone want to say a few words? I tried to put a eulogy together but I am not feeling well and creativity is eluding me this morning.

How many more draft picks are required to become a post season contender? These guys are worse than the Canucks in a race to the bottom.

The problem with that strategy, is that the precious draft picks are getting older every year, eventually they will start to retire.

IMO, the Oilers are the most interesting team in the league.
Salary cap issues.
Personnel decisions/scouting
Coaching
Management
OBC
yada, yada, yada

It'll be an interesting off season as they try to work their way out of this situation. Their fans deserve better.

I think this about sums it up:

"To put it another way, the Oilers had better get their crap together because they’re toying with disaster if they think that a player of McDavid’s calibre is going to stick around forever while they try and figure out how to pull their heads out of their own rear ends."

I don't think it can be overstated that they really need to hire the right GM.

More so than that, the new GM has to get an absolute assurance that all the other "cooks" will be kept out of the kitchen and he can do the job without any input, advice and interference from all those self described "expect manager" ex-players on staff that are there to be the owners buddies.

Question for the Oiler fans...How in the HECK does Sylvain Rodrigue (goalie coach) still have a job in this organization?? All other coaches from the past 6 yrs have been canned and this PUTZ is still here?? I'm baffled

Was 2-0 (Oilers), now 4-2 (Av's) well that escalated in a hurry

Who is Sylvain Rodrigue? The goalie coach is Dustin Schwartz. Now that guy needs to go and should be let go immediately following the season.
