BC Grizzly Bear Hunt Poll
Rather poorly worded, but us here in BC would appreciate the support should you be so inclined...

You're right. That was hardly an impartial poll

Considering it is Vancouver, I must say that I am surprised with the results. Would have thought that a lot more people would be against it.

Media Polls

The media set up polls like that as forms of entertainment to increase readership, not to solve a problem. Media polls carry no legal weight, or force of law, and have no effect on decision makers, or politicians.
Your efforts would be much better spent working elsewhere on this cause.
Good Luck with it,
Selkirk

Considering it's Vancouver, I wonder if respondents actually speak English or have ever hunted, never mind holding a firearm outside of political conflict.

Considering they didn't even spell check the poll choices I'll give it a pass

I'll have to take everyone's advice on the poll as I don't know what Facebook is, but it is hardly a scientific poll as was the one the Greens and The NDP conducted before the election.
Typical Political Bravo Sierra and whats done is done...eventually the hunt will be turned over to the Natives to conduct it how they see fit.
Anyways, it is good to see the information ( good and bad ) about the closure is being spread through out the hunting communities.
Tight Groups,
Rob

While I agree this type of poll is certainly not binding to anyone, it does in fact carry something of value. It indicates the opinion of those who reply, and that is subsequently relayed to readers which include those making these decisions. While it may not change their minds, results like those been seen in the poll must certainly give the pause...
Of over 8,500 votes, 50.27% note opposition to the ban.
I find that more than a little interesting, given the poll was set up by a Vancouver rag...

The poll is not on, nor listed through Facebook.
And as you note, it carries about the same amount of credibility that the Greens / NDP / Raincoast set up prior to the election. In this case however, it appears the trend has reversed this time around...
Cheers,
Nog
