Black Bear or small Grizzly? Trail Cam Help please !
Hello Can someone please tell me if this is a black bear or a small grizzly?
The hump looks like a grizzly...
Taken 20km south east of Edson

I'd vote big huge black.
Head and front shoulders don't tell me it's a grizzly.
Looks like some serious hams trottin past your trail cam!
edit...then again... I look at it and not so sure...lol. Great pick and an awesome bear, whatever the species.

Thanks for the opinions and feedback! Black Bear it is then! BTW, I stumbled across two small deer carcasses nearby. Seeing the ribcages made me jump. Too close in size to a persons...

I wouldn't bet the farm on that. from that poor picture, sorry I can't zoom, the face looks very much like it could be a Grizzly. If the carcasses were buried that would be confirmation.

Thinking a black bear, however the radio was saying earlier in the week there was a grizzly on a moose carcass around the Edson golf course and confirmed by Fish and Wildlife. 20km isn't too far to travel...
