Young grizz.
Cant zoom in for some reason, so the picture is tiny on my phone.
Edit, zoomed in a little bit now.
Black bear.
above answer is subject to change until I view it on a larger device.

I'd vote big huge black.
Head and front shoulders don't tell me it's a grizzly.
Looks like some serious hams trottin past your trail cam!

edit...then again... I look at it and not so sure...lol. Great pick and an awesome bear, whatever the species.

Grizzly head is more dished. It's fairly sloped, so black.

Thanks for the opinions and feedback! Black Bear it is then! BTW, I stumbled across two small deer carcasses nearby. Seeing the ribcages made me jump. Too close in size to a persons...

I wouldn't bet the farm on that. from that poor picture, sorry I can't zoom, the face looks very much like it could be a Grizzly. If the carcasses were buried that would be confirmation.

Thinking a black bear, however the radio was saying earlier in the week there was a grizzly on a moose carcass around the Edson golf course and confirmed by Fish and Wildlife. 20km isn't too far to travel...
