From what I've been told, it's pretty tame from the FTR/North Fork Road downstream to Nice Creek. After the confluence with the South Ram, there is a canyon section that can be portaged with the right gear. I'd love to hear from someone that has done it.

Earlier this summer, we saw a few people put in at the Blackstone Rec Area and float down to the FTR and said it's a float.

Back in the mid to late '90's went from the Gap to the confluence of the North and South Ram Rivers. Do not recall it being to exciting pretty much the same as from the FTR to the Gap. The South Ram from the FTR to the confluence, it has a few obstacles and deep canyons to go through.

Where is the gap? Is it downstream of the field that a lot of people camp at? I've always thought the north ram kinda small to float. How far do you have to go till you can get out?

Default What's I know

Float in 3ft or less of water, I think it'll be more of a walk and curse.

North Ram would be a bit small for a float trip. Pretty shallow in many places right now.

Yes. Maybe 3-6 km. Big open meadow on north side
