Default Sheep River Sanctuary

I have not been down the sheep river sanctuary in years. I have a guest coming from Europe and like to see if I can take him down to spot some Rams. Any leads?

Smith dorrian road to spray lakes, there is usually some sheep around. Maybe double check with ice fishing folk if they saw any.

I remember taking my uncle to Banff to check out elk and wolf, we got lucky and spoted a wolf towards minnewanka laying under a tree. Saw lots of big bulls. Uncle was speechless.

Sheeps generally good though you've got a walk in (or mtn bike) with the winter gate closure. The slopes west of Exshaw on the 1A is a good spot too.

Nice shot!

You can often see the big bands from the transcanada looking across Lac Des Arc.

Better be careful. I think they still blast in the quarry there.
