Name him "Five miles". Then you can tell people you walk 5 Miles every day.

Meet a guy who's dog was named the date he got the Dog "13"

You can name a dog after his personality or how he looks
The type of dog.... like Hunter or Trapper.

You can give him a humans name....like Mike or Harry and why not as they are apart of the family like one of there kids.

I meet a trainer and he said they should have a two or three syllable name.

Default Friend's Dog Name

A friend of mine called his dog "Willy" which w2as short for "will he ever stop peeing on the floor" he never did so he gave him away. Pomeranian.

My golden was named Terra Sable as she was sand coloured.

Well, you could name a dog Prince, Moose, Trapper, or some such name. I've shown Great Danes though, and typically show dogs name's are a big more elaborate, kinda like race horses. Since your in-laws are obviously going to be showing their new pup, I'd like to suggest Ozzy Pawsbourne Prince of Barkness.

The wife got a Schnoodle a few months ago and named him Tucker.
Son got a Beagle/Lab cross (they think) from a farmer and named him Arlo.
I like them both as dog names.

My hound is named Tick, the Lab is Bug ,and the basset is Abbie. Short hard names work best for getting their attention.

My malamute is named taktuq (male) and our Australian shepherd is Lyra (female). Gotta pick something that fits the personality of the dog
