Default Private Campground between Canmore/Calgary

Looking for suggestions for private camping spots to hold family reunion between Calgary west to Canmore in August. No more than 30 sites and don't all need to be serviced.
Thanks.

I can only think of two possibilities.

On Hwy 1A between Cochrane and Morely, I recall seeing a sign west of Cochrane about 10km, for a RV/camp park north of the hwy.

Very close to Morely, but a bit further west on Hwy 1A, I have seen a sign for a rv park on a gravel road going north of the hwy again. The wooden sign is a bit faded and I've never investigated but someone here surely knows the names of each of these two places I've mentioned. I've got a great memory, it's just very short!

Private campgrounds are somewhat rare out in the Calgary area foothills.

Public campgrounds abound, and the reservation system, (which I hate) may actually help you out in securing that many sites. Will you all be side by side? Probably not, but that just gives the kids an excuse to ride their bikes around.

What about heading to something a bit different like Prairie Oasis out of Hanna area? Warm water and fishing to boot! Might be your last chance to see working coal dragline mining before Notley retires them!

Explore reserving a "Group Camp" Site through parks. There used to be one at or near every Provincial Park. Look at Bow Valley PP or the Sibbald Flats area. There used to be one at each.

A Group Camp was for larger groups and were separated from the rest of the camp ground so that the group didn't (usually) disturb others. 30 units may be too big?

Default Campground.

Group campsite at Canoe Meadows on the Kananaskis River. Nice big open area, cook shelters/ firewood and water but no powered sites unfortunately. Have a few people wandering through accessing the surf wave etc but not a problem. Right above the river too. 10 mins up Hwy 40 off the TCH.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Although I am aware of all these, and the reservation process. Doesn't give me the warm fuzzies knowing your only one click away from being totally screwed for your proposed date! Hmmmm! Cheers!
