Kevin here and Trump there? Great! That would be really interesting to watch! The battle of the Titans!
Joke aside, I will take Kevin over the Idiot T ( our present PM) any time!

Question O'Leary

Whoever they pick, he or she must appeal to those in the political 'center', or the liberals will win again.

Unfortunately he can't speak French. No point in even attempting to enter the race, let alone become PM.

I'd vote for him. The list of contenders that are running now leave much to be desired.

This. If it's o Leary or whoever, no matter how stupid, retarded, or incompetent they may be....justin is worse at every turn. It boggles me that someone would say, I would never vote for that guy, he's a moron. Look at the clown in the chair now, there is no excuse.

Aim a bit higher for your Conservative leaders, guys. O'Leary has no values other than personally making a buck. Oh, and a nasty vain streak too.

The peeons become more gullible as each day goes by.

Perhaps that is because that was what people want. Politicians have access to billions of dollars that they aren't use to and spend it like a pirate on shore leave, where as business people tend to not want to waste any money that could be used better somewhere else.

Politicians love taxes as they see it as revenue, business people loathe taxes because they remember what it does to revenue.

I am sure you could add numerous comparisons to the list.

Sure some will argue that business people only care about making money, but I would argue they also like making their company great to keep making them money. I also like to make money so will not fault them for making money.

So what's the best move for a business man? Become a politician, change the rules as they suit their company best.

We really need to look at the states as a lesson on what not to do. How many former board of directors/CEOs of companies are now politicians? Do you not see how that has got out of hand down there and the government there is basically a corporate run, lobbyist wet dream.

No one wants integrity, honesty or any other decent traits in a leader. They want some mangled TV personality who says what everyone is thinking but does it for the vote and to sell their name. Oh, they have to have lots of money too. No one asks how they got their money, they just have to have lots of $$$ to good!

PS If Canada wants to really become like the States, we need our own version of the Devil, Hillary C.

Default Crazy

I think it's crazy that the electorate complain like mad about politicians being lawyers or career politicians and say we need a business man to run the country only to complain when it happens.

Makes me shake my head. And do a face palm.

Kevin O'Leary, the guy that openly challenged and chastised our provincial government when they were screwing up? Nah, we don't want that!

Kevin O'Leary the business man who made money with his own money? What you tryin' to pull?

Kevin O'Leary, the guy who was successful enough to get on a show with other successful business people and sometimes made fun of others? What a big meany!

Kevin O'Leary, the guy who with his wife puts about 10 times the time most of us do into charity work, not to mention about 100 times the money?

How about the Kevin O'Leary who's about 3 times more intelligent than the eggplant occupying the PM seat right now?

Well when I look at the list of contenders for the conservative leadership race, I think I can't believe this is what we have to choose from.

Every single one, including Kevin, if he steps in it, would be the very last choice on a friggin kids t ball team.

I'd like to see the AO pundits make two lists.

One of provincial politicians and one of federal politicians you actually think is worth their wage and/or is qualified to lead anything.

You can even list someone from a party you are not...enamored.. with.

So far Federally I have Rona Ambrose. she works hard.

And provincially I have Brian Jean. he works hard.

O'Leary would be a decent opposition leader, could do some real damage to the turd. But no way in hell would he make a good PM. Too arrogant, too used to not being questioned. He's also a self professed liberal. Just in case anyone forgot. Might matter on things like guns, hunting, national defense, taxes, etc....things that once fubar'd by liberals, tend to stay that way.

I can see the appeal, but I think the frying pan to fire analogy applies here.

Also...when I see heavyweights sitting out a fight, there's typically a pretty good reason. People like Mackay, Kenny, Ambrose, even Brad Wall....aren't willing to step in the ring this time. We need more than O'Leary to win next time around, we need a miracle.

I would prefer anyone over the Idiot we have as PM right now.

However, even if the Conservative Party wins, don't get your hopes up too high. Canada is going down the drain like the rest of the western world, thanks to the Globalists who want a 1 world government.

Plenty of Globalist operatives working inside the Conservative Party, just as they are in the NDP, & liberal.
