More amatuer fake news - no wonder Trump doesn't listen to his own intelligence people.
First spread by fake news sites like this - then carried on FOX News. The only news source you can trust. Soon the only news you will get will be government newspeak - welcome to 1984 earthlings.

This is an interesting site. Shows carrier locations. Are they all in port? Certainly could be. Last update was almost 6 days ago as it passed through the Strait of Gibraltar.

Sure.
And there will be war with Russia and China within the next 20 days so they need all their carrier groups in a safe place so they can have resources left to mount counter attacks.
I read that in the fake news too.

Claim: President Obama ordered five first-line U.S. aircraft carriers into port together in a shocking breach of military protocol.
mostly false
WHAT'S TRUE: Five aircraft carriers were once all docked at Norfolk at the same time.
WHAT'S FALSE: The five carriers were not "first-line" ships, they were not ordered into port by President Obama, they were not diverted from operations in the Middle East and Afghanistan, and the situation was not an "unprecedented breach of military protocol."

The article seems incomplete. Focuses strictly on the Atlantic fleet, makes no mention of Pacific fleets at all. Historically, there have been 3 Pacific fleet carrier battle groups at sea at any time, transitioning to/from/on station in the Indian Ocean on WestPac deployments. Generally 6 month deployments, they tended to be 2 month stages of transitioning from the west coast over to the IO, 2 months on station in the IO, and 2 months transitioning back to the west coast. So, at any given time there would be one battle group on the way over, one battle group on station, and one battle group on the way home. As one group reached the IO, they would take the place on station of the existing group, who would in turn head for home. Very simplistic way of looking at it, but that was always the general norm anyways.
I find it hard to believe there aren't any Pacific fleets at sea. Middle East aside, they've always been, at the very least, within reach of the Far East in the event North Korea got a bug up it's butt and decided to get ambitious.

Look at the link I attached
http://www.gonavy.jp/CVLocation.html
In addition, look at the Facebook pages of each carrier group. It appears that they are in fact all docked.

One noticeable difference from when I was in is that we have the Reagan home-ported in Japan, never used to be that way. So, maybe that satisfies the Far East presence. I served on the Nimitz way back when and was on a West Pac cruise in '88, at the time they made it seem rather important. Maybe not so much now, with increased long range air capabilities out of Guam and Diego Garcia.

Here's a fun thing to do.... Simply google "all US carriers in port at once?".. Go ahead and do it. You will see stories that are exactly the same for several different years, all claiming that this is the first time since WW2 and that it is a breach of military protocol and dangerous. 2013... 2014... 2015... LOL It's a hoax repeated over and over again.

Having six or seven carriers in port is a good thing. A carrier strike group is an offensive weapon, not a defensive weapon. The US navy is not planning to assist in any regime change for a few weeks.

Yes,
This seems VERY CREDIBLE. Tell all potential enemies where to find a large concentration of US warships and personnel, all sitting around largely undefended, .....
Don't you think they learned something AFTER PEARL HARBOUR????
Anyways,
the Internet sure is a fun place to play.

How do you know it's fake news?
That's a good way to uncover fake news and hoaxes, Oko. Another is to see "news" reports released first on very questionable web sites that are then picked up and carried by mainstream media. Usually almost word for word and without any new fact checking or references what so ever.
These types of stories reek to high heaven of propaganda, brainwashing and psychological operations against the population for control purposes. Are they orchestrated by intelligence and government agencies, enemies, corporations, evil forces that want to control the population, or just pranksters? I don't claim to know.
An then there's all the folks that only rely on news links on Facebook for their only source of news. Hey if it's on FB - it's gotta be true.
Orwell was bang on with his fictional "Newspeak". He had great insight into the operation of Totalitarian Regimes.
