Looks like you had a great day ..... do you only use a 22 for rabbit?. I find the .410 is more fun. we try to get them to run.

Great post. I always wanted to tan a showshoe hide, I thought it would look cool on an end table or something like that.

Dennis and I are both now shooting Remington 597 .22 Semi-auto's

he had a Ruger 10/22 break down model but switched to a Rem 597

I love the bigger clip offered as some times I miss

but not often ..lmao

David

Default Why get rid of my 1022 and go to Remington 597

1022 is very fussy on ammo cci is best and as often as I use it not sure how long before it would wear out.

Try using the irons, or possibly mounting a scope scout style. The problem in keeping it zeroed is likely because the barrel and action don't lock up securely or consistently enough. Since the irons are both mounted on the barrel, ditto for a scout scope or even a cantilever mount if one exists, this shouldn't be an issue.

I think this is one of the reasons that so many slug guns use cantilever mounts, to keep the scope lined up with the barrel instead of the receiver, which may or may not always line up with the barrel perfectly.
