I was wondering if anyone has bought anything from optics planet before and what are your experiences?

I have called some of the companies that advertise on the forum if they have the product I am looking for and they dont.

I am looking for some feedback on what the buying experience has been like?

I just noticed that the landing page is optic planet.ca but then you get rerouted to opticsplanet.com so my assumtion is USD$ thought the price was to good to be true.

I was under the impression you could not buy scopes from the USA and get them shipped to Canada..?

I have a very good experience from OP.
A couple of things to keep in mind. The have a .ca page but the orders are shipped from US. You have to call and confirm if the item you are ordering it can be shipped or is subject to export restrictions.

The US changed a few of the rules earlier on this year, I think most of the vendors have the changes sorted out now, if in doubt, check on Brownell's and use the exportable class option they have on the site. Still have a 500.00 limit, but, more stuff available than previously. Freight out of the US isn't cheap anymore, and some places chg handling fees, be careful, Just ordered a die, 8.00 handling fee and 44.00 US frt from Midsouth, but, they had one, searched a lot of other places before giving in on that one. USPS site said 42.00, so......

This is all true - confirm beforehand. Prices are good even with taxes / duties.

Look at Precision Optics out of Quesnel first though.
