According to their web site, they have many things in stock, but when you call them, it's usually a very different situation.

It's a bit odd; In Saskatchewan we've never had a shortage of .22, just reduced numbers of different types/manufacturers. CCI, Winchester, Federal & Remington pretty much anywhere, as much as you can afford. Strangely, I've had problems a few times the last month buying bulk 9mm. None to be found in Regina for almost a week, and we were going to Calgary to see our kids so I wasn't too concerned; I'd go to Bass Pro and get what I needed.

WRONG. I was in there 10 days ago and they did not have one single ROUND of 9mm in the building...not one. Lots of .22, lots of .38spl, .40S&W, .45ACP...no 9mm.

I've been to WSS twice now and they've had Federal Match grade 22LR. Do people not wanna pay the little extra for it? I've got like 5 of the 325 bricks of it now, I've shot off one or two and haven't had a single problem.

I was in Wholesale a few days ago and all they had was the bird shot .22. Must go out pretty quick.

Go back in a few weeks , and see if the situation is the same. Every time a shipment of ammunition or reloading components arrives, some people quickly proclaim the shortage to be over, but weeks, or even days later, the situation can change drastically.

Was in Strathmore last night at both the Canadian Tire and the Walmart. They had more of the other stuff but no 22lr at all. The Canadian Tire and Walmart on 130th in Calgary have nothing in the way of much of anything at all, let alone 22lr. I'm going to be heading to WSS Calgary this aft but I don't know what they've got there either. It's been very sporadic for sure.

I wish. I have up to 4 people shooting whenever we go out. My box of 500 has a little less than 100 in it after 1 trip.

CT Westhills had a bunch of the Federal 525 when I was there this morning. But at 28.99 I wasn't buying. Funny thing was the PFY wanted to see my PAL before he would tell me the price. I gave him a hard time over that.

I bought a box of Federal target 325 count for $22 at Wholesale this afternoon. They only had 3 or 4 more boxes when I was there. It may be a little pricey right now but I don't have much left. Just in comparison, this time last year I paid $34 for 375 rounds. Then I found some 100 round boxes for $8 and thought it was way better. I haven't seen any of either of those particular rounds since then.

I was in Wholesale Sports in north Edmonton this morning (Sunday). They have signs up everywhere that say ".22LR ammo is out of stock, sorry".

Hoard hoarding hoarder!! That's like so much more than you'll use in a weekend!

That was a good price, have not seen Wildcats go for that... well ever (that I can recall). I think I remember them being about $1.29/50 about 20 years ago.

Where was this sale? I'm not a big fan of the Wildcats, but I would have bought a bunch at that price, for sure.

There is very little down here in my area, haven't been able to just go out and buy a brick of bulk Federal or the like for a long time.

Wholesale sports in Calgary had two boxes left when I was in on the weekend. I ended up buying all of it and the guy behind the counter said he was not sure when more would arrive.
