For the sake of the children ban them!

Joking aside, it seems the most dangerous guns are handguns, rifles and shotguns Did they pay the person who wrote that?

"Additionally, the explosive that creates the energy to fire the gun occurs in the fixed shell of a shotgun rather than the metallic cartridge of a rifle". We have a word in England for people who write like that!

I was expecting the "5 guns" to be a little more specific. What a joke.

The comments are hilarious. Obviously more than old hippies have read the article.

I read the first page and thought "well, this seems a pretty factual article" I got a tingle when the author stated that the Glock was "one of the most popular..." Hmmm... I thought this was a listing ot THE most popular/used firearms...

Then they proceed to cover almost all firearms in their "top 5". DERRINGERS? Really???? Lots of derringer shooting sprees in the US? LOL

Another pure gratuitous sensationalist fluff piece that the writer probably got paid $10,000 for and took 2 hours to research and write up.
Journalism indeed !

Most commonly used by parlour girls, who prefer this design because it rides comfortably in their garter belt.

Used to be a subscriber of RS for years. In 2010 they completely changed their style and became political and biased. I cancelled my subscription the year after and used the magazines I had left to light my BBQ and fireplace.

The title implies that those firearms are defective. I thought this was going to be a article on some bad guns. Kind of a stupid title. What ever happened to the notion that people kill people? Oh ya that reality is to difficult to deal with.

Awesome!

For Gywnne's next hard hitting, pull no punches article: "The KNIFE; Fork's Evil Stabby Neighbor! What deadliness lies to the left of your plate?"

I did like the irony of the opening statement being "not all guns are created equal", and then the rest of the article demonstrates how the are all "The Most Dangerous".

The premise that how "dangerous" a gun is is related to the number of guns recovered at crime scenes, is laughable.

The sad part is that there will be people who read this garbage and now think they are informed on the subject.

Just recall what we learned from the sage and wise Crocodile Dundee back in the eighties: a knife is not deemed a knife unless by sheer size it can double as a pry bar, a car jack, a skiff's rudder or any number of other overly large tools or implements. I hear it said that until real knives were banned along with pump and semi auto shotguns, Australian farmers in New South Wales would strap them behind their Toyota hilux's and use them as plows.

But that's not how my momma taught me to set the table... the "deadliness" lies to the right, like this
