stopped on paved road in 310 to observe a whitetail buck on a doe . He didn't flag and take off even when we made eye contact . Not a huge buck and he was not wanting to leave doe .

Still a few days away.I have couple locations where I can observe as many as 35 deer in alfalfa field. Bucks arent really harassing does yet maybe checking where they pee but not too much actual chasing/rutting. Buddy observed nice 5x5 come into field and lay down The does were walking over to it and it wasnt even giving them any attention. Stayed an hour and left. Next week when it cools down fasten your safety belts

Seen a bunch of bucks with nose to the ground in 310 today. One real dandy, but was out of distance. Will try again in the am, good luck all.

X2, or they may have a busy life and only get out once or twice a season to hunt. Can't be to choosy on your one hunting day.

Not everyone hunts for antlers, I do usually for white tails but not for moose.

Last two days, haven't seen a doe without a buck with her. The boys are getting stupid. Numerous bucks chasing. And seen some phat (pretty hot and tempting) does.
Rut is full bore

Rattled in 2 different bucks this morning. Shot the second one, a nice 4x4. He was starting to get pretty stinky.
