Default Butcher Lake WMU 400

I have never fished Butcher lake in 400 before for the brook trout up there. Was thinking of taking the little guy out for his first ones as well. Was wondering what is a good lure to use up there for these little guys? Evenings and mornings are best to fish i'm sure. anybody with any experience at the lake I would appreciate some advice. Thanks

Nothing fancy needed there, usually go out there a coupke times a year but haven't been out since last fall so I don't have a recent report. Standard flies like leeches or any bead headed fly like prince nymph or scuds work well. Seen many baitfishers using power bait and cookeed shrimp meat with good success. GL!

Haven't been there for a few years, but I used a gold or green panther Martin with some success. I used to go there a few times a year, was lots of fun. Good luck!
