Question Is Gunslick Ultra-lube a viable alternative to actual reel grease?

I have no reel grease but I do have a few bottles of Gunslick Ultra-lube laying around and I was wondering if it will do the same job.

Thank you in advance!

The problem with oil is that it doesn't always stay on the components that need to be lubricated. If your going to use oil in a reel IMO its best to use an oil that is designed to stick to what its lubricating, most types of chain oil fit this description. I use heavy chainsaw bar oil, the summer stuff, in my ice fishing reels with good success. YMMV.

I've heard of people using vasoline to pack a reel in a pinch, I would try that before gun oil.
