Default Power drill auger adapter that doesn't snap??!

Seriously, I use an 18v Milwaukee fuel drill with a 5ah battery and I have snapped like 4 of these this season. It's only a matter of time till I lose my auger or smash my hand!

To be fair, I have snapped 2 cableas brand ones and a strikemaster one, but are there better ones that don't snap? My blades are a bit dull as well, could be summin to do with it

Many adapters are fairly cheap construction. I snapped one this year and lost an auger at the bottom of little McLeod lake

Thankfully I haven't lost my auger yet. I have snapped 3 adapters this year though. 2 cableas brand ones and one strikemaster

I already own a decent Milwaukee drill and a load of batteries so I can't warrant spending $700+ on an Ion

Could always fab up some kind of circular device built on so auger never drops into hole like this..
