Default Mule deer scouting season?

Last year was my first year chasing mule deer. I was in 118 had a blast even tho i never fired a shot. Was one of my favorite hunts ive been on. Altho i wont have a rifle tag ill head back to 118 with my bow. My question is about mule deer movement spring thru to fall. If i locate deer in june. Will they be moved come september. Should i focus on finding the girls during summer? Is it different if chasin mule in the more mountainous wmu?

They have a very small area, they will hang around.

they will likely still be in same areas come September as in june. Given the feed, water and pressure remain the same. Come mid October some will move out and others come in assuming the girls are around too.

I start scouting in mid July. By that time it gives you a good indication of what their racks will look like come September, and unless the harvest is early, they should be in the same location. By the time November comes around, harvest is over, the feeding patterns are different, and THEN it’s time to locate the girls and watch what bucks show up.
Southern farmland bucks are a different beast than the mountain deer
