Review for newcomers
PLEASE READ!!!
You MUST give a Pif before you can claim. Do not say " I want the 'widget' and I am offering a 'widget' ." I will get the mods to delete any replies not in the correct order.
If you want to play, round up your pif's and get in the thread.
Try to keep your transactions as close as possible in value, do not take a riding lawnmower if you gave a match box car. Keep it fair for everyone.
You can give as many pif's as you wish, but do not claim more than you have given.
The giver is responsible for shipping. Please do so within 3 days of your gift being claimed. I still get the odd pm about not receiving pifs from last year.
Keep everything other than shipping addresses in the thread, pm's claiming gifts are not to be used. The format is again, give a pif, quote the reply of the item you would like, and add "I would like this please". Very simple.
Now that we have a charity recipient, you can show an asking price for your pif if you choose.
Again, this is a review for the new guys. This thread is going absofrickenlutely awesome, and I would like to thank you all!

Bump. If you wanna get your rodeo on, you won't find any better tickets at this point. Right in the main bowl.

I am getting the odd PM and email about PIF's still, I dont know how I can make it easier.
1- GIVE A PAY IT FORWARD GIFT by saying 'I have this to give'
2- YOU NOW HAVE A CREDIT FOR CLAIMING A PIF
3- IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM A PIF hit the QUOTE button on the item you want, and write this; "I would like to claim this with my PIF credit please"
4- SEND A PM TO THE PERSON OFFERING THE PIF YOU CLAIMED and give that person your address, so they can get it to you
5- WHEN YOUR PIF HAS BEEN CLAIMED wait for the PM from the person that claimed it, get their address and send it out, or make arrangements for pickup/delivery when mutually convenient.
6- DO NOT STALL OR WAIT TO SEND YOUR PIF you offered it, it was claimed, get it on the way.
7-DO NOT WAIT FOR YOUR GIFT TO GET TO YOU FIRST before you send out your offering, have a little faith and do what you promised. IT IS A GIFT, treat it as such.
8- CREDITS AND PROMISES FROM LAST YEAR ARE OVER. If you did not handle it last year, do not expect to use it this year. Several people informed me they were 'ripped off' last year. Lets not have this happen this year please? Deal with your transactions now, if you do not receive your gifts in a timely period this year let me know, I will make it public and the transgressors will be dealt with or not allowed in next year, IF we do this again.
Really guys it is not that difficult, and please enough of the games. I am getting up to a hundred PM's some days from people asking the same questions over and over, you know how to get online, surely you can give and ship a gift.
Things are going well, but it seems to have stalled. If anyone has any ideas how to get back on track, please let me know.

I haven't thought this through completely but off the top of my head I'd say maybe a separate Q&A thread might be a useful thing. You could link to it on page 1 of the pif thread and occasionally throughout. Benefit would be that questions asked could be responded to and discussed as a community rather than the onus being solely on you via pm. Also, all questions and subsequent answers/discussion would be available for all to see and hopefully this would alleviate most of the repeat questions.
This is an awesome idea and project for a great cause. Would be tragic if it couldn't continue just for lack of understanding by participants or would-be participants.
Thoughts?

i think that's a great idea Big Racks. Ken's last post points #1 to 7 explained how it works well. I think that would be a great first post!
I've dug up a couple more PIF's to post when I have an extra moment.

Picked up the climbing treestand tonight from JFK. Big thanks to him, and a big thanks to ken for putting in all the work to make this happen.
Ken, if we meet, I'll buy you a Mojito
Or a beer! Haha.

Another PIF Item
I bought a Moultrie Picture Viewer....it won't read the SD cards from my Primos Camera....
http://reviews.basspro.com/2010/1020...ws/reviews.htm
I paid ~$50 for it and it comes complete with batteries, it may only work with Moultrie Brand cameras or it may work with camera other than the Primos ones. Package is opened but it was only used about 10 mins.

Hey all, thought I'd jump in and offer some items up.
Start with an acoustic guitar, would like this to be a local (Edmonton area) PIF just cause of shipping costs!

My pleasure fallen. Beer at 4 point sheraton works, goes great with their lunch steak sandwich and a beer deal
